New Year's Eve

Published on

Looking for something fun to do on New Year’s Eve? Want to end 2011 with a bang? How about coming out to the Callaghan Winter Sports Club recreational biathlon event! From beginners to experts, the CWSC Biathlon Series is a great way to experience the sport of biathlon and to test your skiing and shooting skills in a fun environment! Participants need their own ski equipment, but will receive rifle safety and target shooting instruction from CWSC coaches and an opportunity to practice before taking part in the events.  Events are open to all members of the public, ages 8 and up. Biathlon rifles, ammunition and shooting rests are all provided by the CWSC. All participants must have a trail pass, and must bring their own ski equipment. Passes and rentals are available through Whistler Olympic Park. Cost per event: $20 for CWSC Members, $25 for non-CWSC Members. For more information or to volunteer, please email info@callaghanwintersportsclub.com or checkout: Callaghan Winter Sports Club After a long day of skiing and shooting what better way to relax than to, well, ok, I was going to say go check out the movies playing at the cinema (which you can still do: Cimema Clock) but really, what I generally look forward to after a cross country ski and a little shooting is a few shots and a hot tub. The fact that it will be New Year’s Eve, I’ll add that hopefully it is a clear night and I’ll see some fireworks!
