Published on

The Squamish Music Festival is almost here. The line up for the weekend has been announced and the acts are getting tuned up. As they start to set up the stages, it is time for you to start packing up your supplies for the weekend’s festivities. Now, while some of you are just taking in a single day of the festival, some of you are planning on taking in the whole experience by camping out. Camping can be a little overwhelming for newbies, and camping at a festival, where there seems to be so many rules, but as long as you remember the essentials you will have a great time.  The following list was posted on the Festival Home page and makes a whole lot of sense: NEED We recommend packing the following, because you may need them for survival: •Your ticket – kinda important! •ID’s (If you wish to access the Beer Gardens) •Camping necessities (tent, sleeping bag, foamy, tarp, etc.). If you remember your tent be sure to also remember the tent poles… •Portable lights  (and batteries…) •Your favorite mountain weather ready sweater •Dancing shoes (or something comfortable), heels look good but you’ll hate them and yourself 2 hours in.. •Sunglasses •Sunscreen – it gets HOT in Squamish •Water bottles (We’ll have filling stations to refill throughout the weekend!) •Bug spray   WANT You don’t need the following, but there’s a chance you may want them: •Camping chairs or something to sit on •Portable stereo •Earplugs (people don’t always turn down the stereos…) •Camera (Non-pro) •Cooler (some snack items might come in handy) •Extra set of car keys or somewhere smart to put them •Cash (there are ATMs onsite, but better to not wait in line) •Hat •Lip chap •Nice soft toilet paper •Duct tape (you never know) Then sit and enjoy Squamish Music Festival
