Squamish Spotlight: Winter Farmers’ Market

Published on

The Squamish Winter Farmers’ Market is a fantastic event that takes place every other Saturday from November until April.

Those familiar with the summer market will be extremely happy to see it continue all the way through winter. Unlike the other local markets in Whistler and Pemberton, which are put on hold during the winter months, Squamish keeps going!

Starting on November 5th, you can find it every other Saturday from 11am-3pm, at Squamish Elementary School located at 38370, Buckley Avenue.

If you’re not familiar with the Squamish Farmers’ Market, here’s why you should check it out:

Seasonal produce

Don’t let the winter months stop you from getting farm-to-table fresh produce! With the market continuing through winter you can get all the seasonal produce you need, while supporting local farmers at the same time.

Stock up on everything you need – we recommend the incredible selection of cheeses, take our word for it!

Local-made arts and crafts

The Sea to Sky has some incredibly talented people. You’ll be amazed at the range of local-made arts and crafts on display, from homemade candles, natural beauty products, sparkling jewellery, and tons of other fabulous products.

Whether you’re looking for something specific or just browsing, you’ll no doubt find something special and truly unique.

Fresh and prepared food

Come hungry because it’s almost impossible to ignore the tantalizing smells of all the fresh and prepared food on offer. From little tasters, to food stands, you’ll want to sample everything you see.

All the products are made right here in Squamish and you can feel happy in the knowledge that you are supporting hardworking locals!

Live music

If all that wasn’t enough, there is also live music throughout the market to keep you entertained. As the months get colder, you may even want to have a little dance to keep warm as you wander through the stalls!
