After 21 years of incredible races, The Test of Metal will host its final event this September, with Just Another Bike Race (JABR).
After the final Test of Metal race in June, JABR is the last event to be hosted by the Test of Metal Group of Events and is the perfect way to say goodbye to the organisation that has helped shape Squamish bike trails for over two decades.
What was the Test of Metal?
The Test of Metal itself was a 67-kilometre course with over 1,200 meters of climbing and 35 kilometers of single-track. But it was more than that – it was an incredible celebration of mountain biking that brought together communities and bike lovers up and down the Sea-to-Sky.
Aside from the individual race, The Test of Metal Group of Events also host three other events, Orecrusher, Gearjammer and JABR. These races see more people coming to Squamish to take part in some great events.
World class biking
The courses home to the Test of Metal are some of the best singletrack trails in the world. The races have helped showcase the incredible riding that Squamish has to offer and have in turn aided the massive development of the local trail network.
Those familiar with mountain biking and the Sea-to-Sky corridor will know very well just how unique and incredible the trails are here. People from all over the world travel specifically to enjoy biking in our back yard.
Just Another Bike Race (JABR)

The 45-kilometre course takes riders through some of the best singletrack Squamish has to offer, including trails such as Rupert, Tinder, Your Mom, and Half Nelson.
The race is taking place on September 17 from 7am-6pm. You can find out more information and register for the race HERE.
